2nd Shift Operator I

Position Description :

Home Run Inn is looking for a reliable Operator to join the Production Team!

Location : Food Production Plant in Woodridge, IL!

An Operator I in our food production facility is responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring machinery used in the production and packaging of food products. Their duties are crucial to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the equipment while meeting quality and production standards.

Shift Details : 1st shift 5 : 30am-3 : 00pm Monday-Friday with occasional weekends based on department needs

Responsibilities :

Ensure the manufacturing of Safe Quality Food.

Complies with Safety and GMP requirements.

Set up of Machines in assigned work area.

Tear down of Machines in assigned work area.

Trouble shoot and Adjust machines in assigned work area to ensure proper Production.

Minimize rejected products.

Maintain clean, safe and orderly condition of work area.

Train in & perform positions in other work areas covering for breaks / lunches.

Ensure that all equipment is setup & operating correctly.

Immediately report any equipment malfunction to Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.

Safety Responsibility :

Supports a culture of safety; follows all safety procedures. Responsible for safety performance in respective area. Ensures the implementation of, adherence to, and enforcement of workplace health and safety requirements. Ensures activities are completed to promote and enforce safe behaviors by supervisors and employees. Fulfills responsibilities as outlined in the company safety program.

Requirements :

Education / Experience :

High School Diploma or its equivalency in experience and / or training.

• years of Machine Operating Experience.

1 years of experience in food manufacturing.

Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA regulations).

Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery.

Competencies :

Able to speak, read and write in English.

Must maintain regular and timely attendance.

Has impeccable organizational skills and be detailed oriented.

Must be a self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision.

Able to analyze and interpret information.

Has good time management and decision-making skills to assist key personnel in resolving incidents in real time.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Able and willing to collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers by maintaining a positive work atmosphere putting the success of the team above own interest.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
