Quality Control Technician-2nd Shift

Job Description Job Description Home Run Inn Pizza is looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join our growing Manufacturing Plant in Woodridge, IL! The quality control technicians will inspect ingredients, in-process products, and finished products to ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations.Schedule : Monday-Friday from 2 : 30pm-midnight with occasional weekends based on department needs.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including off shifts and weekends based on department needs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESComplies with safety and GMP requirements.Maintains and reviews manufacturing records.Verifies calibration of equipment in accordance with company quality procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.Performs inspections across all stages of production.Performs ingredient and product dispositions against specificationsMonitors adherence to USDA and FDA regulations by monitoring and verifying HACCP and SOP tasksCollects samples as needed for testing.Communicates quality or compliance concerns with urgency.Complies with all company quality and food safety standards.Assist in the preparation for customer and third-party inspections.Other duties as assigned.SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIESSupports a culture of safety; follows all safety procedures.Responsible for safety performance in respective area.Ensures the implementation of, adherence to, and enforcement of workplace health and safety requirements.Ensures activities are completed to promote and enforce safe behaviors by supervisors and employees.Fulfills responsibilities as outlined in the company safety program.RequirementsEDUCATIONS / EXPERIENCEMust have a associates degree or equivalent or 2 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality control.QualificationsAble to speak, read and write in English.Has basic Word and Excel experience.Able to analyze and interpret information.Uses good time management and decision-making skills to assist key personnel in resolving incidents in real time.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Able and willing to collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers by maintaining a positive work atmosphere putting the success of the team above own interest.Must be able to stand, sit, walk, reach and stoop for the duration of an 8-hour shift with applicable breaks.Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.As required, works in a loud area that requires hearing protection and other protective equipment to be worn.Exposure to some of the FDA designated major food allergens (Milk and Wheat).Willing to work in a variety of environments including warm and cold ambient temperatures.What We Offer : A Safe, Fun, and Vibrant Work Environment : We prioritize food quality and safety while fostering a safe, inclusive, and vibrant work environment, enhanced by a rewarding recognition program, company-wide events, and team celebrations.Career Growth and Learning Opportunities : Continuous learning and advancement.Flexible Hours and Schedules : Tailored to fit mutual needs.Free On-Demand Healthcare Coverage : Available to all teammates and their household members.Paid Sick and Personal Time : Available to all teammates.Employee Discounts : 50% off pizza, 25% off other menu items, and discounted Frozen Pizza.Value Menu During Shift : Restaurant teammates only.
