Home Run Inn Pizza is looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join our growing small Manufacturing Plant in Little Village-Chicago! This is to be the lone Quality Technician at a small food production facility. Will be reporting to a Director of QA.
The quality control technician will inspect ingredients, in-process products, and finished products to ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations. Will be working in a small production facility, leading the quality initiatives and working independently.
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 5:30am-2:30pm with occasional weekends based on department needs.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including off shifts and weekends based on department needs.
Must be flexible to work at our Woodridge, IL Production Plant as well.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complies with safety and GMP requirements.
- Maintains and reviews manufacturing records.
- Verifies calibration of equipment in accordance with company quality procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Performs inspections across all stages of production.
- Performs ingredient and product dispositions against specifications
- Monitors adherence to USDA and FDA regulations by monitoring and verifying HACCP and SOP tasks
- Collects samples as needed for testing.
- Communicates quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
- Complies with all company quality and food safety standards.
- Assist in the preparation for customer and third-party inspections.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
EDUCATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Must have a associates degree or equivalent or 2 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality control.
- Experience working in USDA and FDA regulated facilities
- SGF or GSI Certifications would be preferred.
Qualifications
- Able to speak, read and write in English.
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Has basic Word and Excel experience.
- Able to analyze and interpret information.
- Uses good time management and decision-making skills to assist key personnel in resolving incidents in real time.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able and willing to collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers by maintaining a positive work atmosphere putting the success of the team above own interest.
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, reach and stoop for the duration of an 8-hour shift with applicable breaks.
- Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- As required, works in a loud area that requires hearing protection and other protective equipment to be worn.
- Exposure to some of the FDA designated major food allergens (Milk and Wheat).
- Willing to work in a variety of environments including warm and cold ambient temperatures.
