JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES
Responsible for coaching, mentoring, motivating, and developing technicians and their skill sets to meet the needs of Home Telecom and the services provided to customers. Will maintain a positive work environment through team interaction, conversations, and self-evaluation while understanding potential challenges the team may face during daily operations.
Must perform regular site visits to validate safety and quality compliance with standard operating procedures, ensure customer experience standards are met or exceeded, and recognize opportunities for development. Coordinate necessary training for technicians involving safety, installation, repair, and operational procedures. Will be required to assist technicians with installations, repairs, and other tasks, as necessary. Will manage technician inventory, ensure timely service order and trouble ticket completion, and monitor available metrics to improve efficiencies
Will be responsible for approval of time entry and paid time off (PTO). Will enforce disciplinary actions for non-compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures. Will communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding initiatives, goals, and feedback. Will perform regular evaluations of technician to ensure performance progress. Will conduct performance evaluations of technicians and identify areas in need of improvement
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coaching, mentoring, motivating, and developing through site inspections, metrics, and daily interaction.
- Communicating with technicians during weekly tech huddles, one-on-one connection meetings, and field visits
- Maintaining efficiencies with metrics and recognizing areas needing improvement.
- Performing QA site inspections, vehicle inspections, time entry and PTO approval.
- Ordering, assigning, reconciling, and auditing technician inventory.
- Assisting technicians with installations and repairs as needed.
- Other duties as directed by management
