A loving and busy family in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a structured, reliable, and experienced after-school nanny for their two children, ages 3 and 6. Both parents work full-time, and they need a dependable caregiver to provide a consistent, engaging, and structured environment in the afternoons.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed 20 hours per week (additional hours possible)
- Flexibility to stay later if needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- $30 per hour (based on experience)
- Paid on the books
- Paid time off: 1 week paid vacation, 2-4 sick/personal days, major holidays

Duties & Responsibilities:
- School pick-up and transporting children home
- Engage in age-appropriate activities to support learning and development
- Prepare meals/snacks for the children
- Light housekeeping: tidying up, vacuuming, organizing play areas and common spaces
- Care for two friendly yellow labs
- Ensure a structured and fun environment for both children
Qualifications:
- Experienced nanny with a background in structured, engaging childcare
- Loving but firm, able to set boundaries while keeping things fun
- Reliable, proactive, and organized
- Comfortable with strong-willed children and adapting to change
- Safe and reliable car for transportation
- Valid driver's license
- 3-5 professional references required
- U.S. work authorization required
