Part Time Nanny/Family Assistant in Simpsonville, SC:
Seeking a warm, nurturing, and energetic Nanny/Family Assistant to join a busy family with two children aged 8 and 11 years old and expecting a new baby in May. Ideal candidate is mature, fun, energetic, and adaptable. Experience with infants and cooking skills are a huge plus. This role will provide invaluable support to the family, assisting with childcare, light household tasks, and enrichment activities for the children. Must be pet friendly, there is a dog at the home.
Job Details:
- Pay: $22–$25/hour, negotiable based on experience.
- Schedule: Part-time, Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (20 hours per week)
- Start Date: Flexible, with a preference for March. If starting before March 14, note the family vacation from March 14–22.
- Employment Type: Long-term, live-out position.
- Benefits: 5 vacation days, 2 personal/sick days, major holidays
Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, including cooking meals for the family.
- Provide light housekeeping support, including laundry, kitchen cleanup, and organizing.
- Help mom as needed, especially after the newborn arrives, including assisting with infant care.
- Supervise and engage the children in activities, ensuring they spend time on enriching tasks rather than excessive screen time.
- Check on schoolwork and provide gentle guidance to encourage homework completion.
Occasionally assist with pet care, such as taking the dog outside.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the home.
- CPR/First Aid certification is strongly preferred.
- A positive and supportive attitude, with the energy to meet the family’s needs.
- Confidence in cooking and meal preparation.
- Provide 3-5 professional references.
