Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Home2 Suites by Hilton. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience. This role does report to the General Manager, and has the potential for career growth opportunities within the company.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily maintenance activities of the hotel including the Preventative Maintenance program in compliance with brand standards and expectations
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and brand standards.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of repair projects, inventory etc.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Utilize logic, resources and other tools to troubleshoot issues effectively, communicate with leadership when further assistance is necessary.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of hazards
- Requires partial outdoor work including but not limited to cleaning of parking lot, trash disposal, some lawn care as well as parking lot, patio and sidewalk care.
- Maintains adequate inventory of tools and supplies for maximum employee productivity
- Ensures implementation of an ongoing preventive maintenance program for equipment and guest rooms according to brand standards.
- Responds in a timely manner to requests for services by guests, employees and management to include repair or replacement of all interior and sometimes exterior fixtures and furnishings.
- Performs special assignments as requested by General Manager or Department Managers.
Requirements
- Must be able to work 8a-4p 5 days a week, semi set schedule.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, electrical, mechanical, architectural, refrigeration etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift, pull carry 50- 100lbs of supplies.
- Must be able to twist, climb ladder, walk, and stand for long periods of time
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance
- Committed to providing quality customer service.
- Familiarity maintenance tools is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment required.
