Home2 Suites by Hilton Denver West Federal Center is currently recruiting a guest and team-oriented full-time Maintenance Technician.

• Scheduled shift is approximately 10am – 6pm
• Saturday and Sunday required
• Scheduled days will vary based on business needs and will include weekends
• Minimum of one-year maintenance experience is required preferably in a hotel, apartment or senior living environment.

Maintenance Technician will oversee all building related systems and the building to ensure the safety of hotel guests, team members and management including but not limited to compliance with Hilton and Capri HM preventative maintenance programs and procedures, SOP’s as well as all Building/Fire/Health Department codes and maintain building as energy efficiently as possible. The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the General Manager.

The ideal candidate will exceed both guest and company expectations, maintain a positive work environment, be part of the hotel culture, and increase guest survey responses through attention to detail and pride in the condition of guest rooms and overall property.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Daily responsibilities for this position will include:

• Guest room repairs and preventive maintenance
• Common area maintenance
• Hotel equipment preventive maintenance
• Pool maintenance (CPO preferred but required after hiring), power-washing, grounds, parking lot clean-up, sweeping, trash removal, etc.
• All other duties and projects as assigned

Ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge. Primary job knowledge include:

• Painting, caulking, carpet cleaning, tile & grout cleaning, basic plumbing, basic electrical, basic PTAC, Preventative Maintenance, and overall General Maintenance
• Small appliance maintenance (vacuums, dishwasher, garbage disposal, etc.)
• Pool and hot tub chemical maintenance
• Other duties and special projects will be assigned as needed
• Candidate must have high standards of quality work; guest service skills; positively interact and coordinate with the team; and able to respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

Job Requirements:

*Solid basic maintenance skills *Excellent guest service skills *Excellent communication skills, both oral and written *Must be able to stand for extended periods of time *Bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, upward reaching, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing and writing *Comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and management*Ability to accurately report information. *Ability to follow all brand and hotel policies & procedures. *Always conducts oneself professionally and courteously *Must have knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, & legal regulations *Minimum two years hotel maintenance or relevant experience required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

During the course of performing the physical demands of this position, associates are expected to observe and adhere to safety and security procedures, promoting a safe work environment.
