Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently, ensuring accuracy of information
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Manage reservations and room assignments effectively
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean and ready for guest arrival
- Assist with night audit procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and transactions
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Maintain a neat and organized front desk area
-Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
-Supervises and manages employees.
-Manages all day-to-day front desk operations.
-Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence. Cover shifts as needed.
-Employee scheduling
-Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees do the same within the team.
-Communicates performance expectations.
-Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members
-Inventory and ordering for the hotels snack market.
-Corresponding with and managing group block requests.
-Review & respond to guest satisfaction results and customer complaints
-Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers.
-Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as the Manager on Duty
Experience:
- Previous experience in a front desk or guest relations role preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficiency in using phone systems and hotel management software
