Home2 Suites in Saginaw is looking for an energetic and hospitality focused candidate for our Assistant General Manager position. The AGM will be active in supervising all areas of the hotel while upholding brand standards and ensuring excellent quality and service for all guests.
The AGM has a wide-range of operations responsibilities coupled with the day-to-day management of guest service representatives, housekeepers, maintenance, and laundry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guest Service & Satisfaction - The AGM is the leader in driving guest satisfaction scores. Leads by example in welcoming all guest with a smile and providing an overall atmosphere of warm hospitality.
- Monitors guest feedback on TripAdvisor, OTA sites and SALT and shares with team, soliciting their feedback and encouraging them to take ownership
- Responds to guest complaints immediately and gets team involved with service recovery
- Ensure hotel staff is provided with uniforms and name tags, and upholds property grooming standards
- Schedule staff according to availability and business needs
- Assists with training new hires, conducting monthly team meetings, and reviewing employee performance on a regular basis. Addresses employee performance issues by coaching, mentoring, and disciplining as needed
Hotel Operations
- Works hands on at front desk and in housekeeping, covering desk shifts and inspecting rooms. Must be available “on-call” 24/7 for guest or employee emergencies
- Helps to enforce full compliance of hotel policies, procedures and service standards
- Responsible for performing daily, weekly and monthly property inspections.
- Audits stock in all areas to make sure that all required supplies are ordered and stocked.
Sales
- Assisting in group sales as needed/after hours, providing site tours to potential clients and highlighting all of the hotel amenities
- Identifying new corporate clients by asking qualifying questions at front desk
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Hotel management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Hospitality: 3 years (Required)
