Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, the day-to-day staff management and determining guest needs. They would be an ambassador for the brand and hotel. Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our culture, maximize operations, and guest satisfaction. Candidate would manage profitability, guest, and associate satisfaction measures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance of Hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Managing guest concerns and oversee the service recovery procedures.
- Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue, guest, and associate satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
- Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short and long-term strategic goals for the property.
- A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to prepare impactful strategies and responses.
- Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, Sales, and Maintenance are on target and accurate.
- Maximizing room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
- Support the sales efforts of the hotel and in generating revenue opportunities.
- Helping in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services.
- Overseeing and managing all departments and working closely with department leads on a daily basis.
- Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
- Lead in all aspects of business planning.
- Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
- Selection of hotel associates, complete new hire paperwork, review associate performance, and conduct personnel actions such as celebrating success, coaching actions, and termination.
Experience, Skills:
- Successful hotel management experience is a must.
- Management and Systems experience within the Marriott Brand is prefered.
- Must be initiative-taking, self-directed, with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
- Exceptional customer service skills required.
- Must possess strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
- Interpersonal and time management skills.

Pay Disclaimer: The annual base salary for this position is between $70,000 to $75,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum salary available for the role in the specified location. Actual salaries may differ based on various factors, including geographic location, individual experience, and job performance. The salary range presented is one aspect of our comprehensive compensation package, which may also include bonuses, paid time off (PTO), a competitive 401(k) plan, and additional benefits.
