We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. You will lead a team of housekeepers, providing guidance and support while fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and housekeeping management, with a keen eye for detail.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Train new employees on housekeeping procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Develop cleaning schedules and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of duties.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Implement and enforce policies related to cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery within the hotel.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Responsibilities
- Inspect rooms, complete reports, verify status reports; report clean suites to hotel front desk and/or load into automated property management systems.
- Open housekeeping: check rooms inventory, assign rooms to attendants.
- Monitor payroll reports and work schedules.
- Monitor lost and found program.
- Ensure stock rooms and cars are maintained with proper supplies.
- Promote team member loyalty and empowerment.
- Monthly linen inventory.
Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices, floor care techniques, and industrial cleaning methods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Proficient in using cleaning equipment and understanding safety protocols related to their use.
