What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseman/Driver position at Home2 Suites El Paso Airport?
The Hotel Houseman/Shuttle driver is primarily responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel’s building and grounds and assisting with minor maintenance issues.Under general supervision, operates the hotel shuttle van to provide guests and potential guests with convenient and reliable transportation to and from the airport while following Company policies and procedures. Van drivers welcome and create a positive first/last impression upon guest arrival/departure. This function includes assisting with loading and unloading of guest luggage, providing information in regard to the hotel's facilities and events and directions to local attractions. Ensure the van is clean at all times including assisting with monitoring routine maintenance and immediately reporting in mechanical concerns.
Ensures an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, efficient, friendly service to all guests while welcoming guests to the city. Responds promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and complaints with a 1 Service Attitude. Contributes to maintaining a positive work environment at all times for our diverse team and guests. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain company and franchise cleanliness & maintenance standards for both guest rooms and public areas.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests.
- Maintain building exterior.
- Thoroughly complete driver and houseman logs.
- Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
- Follow and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
- Perform or assist with periodic or scheduled cleaning projects.
- Assist other departments when needed and perform other related duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Hotel experience required.
- Previous IHG hotel/s experience preferred.
- Physical Mobility and stamina required.
- Ability to follow instructions
- Detail-oriented
- Professional attitude is required
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests in order to create a warm, comfortable and relaxing environment.
