The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the operation of the Front Desk department by providing the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and directing, and supervising desk team members. Provide outstanding guest service by providing the guest with assistance in any area necessary, answer PBX, make reservations, check-in and check-out guests.
Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front desk staff.
- Follow up on all guest requests and ensure that desk staff continues to learn the importance of excellent service.
- Train new hires in all aspects of the front desk
- Daily deposits
- Stock and replenish the Market/Pavilion, ensuring a neat appearance.
- Set up and maintain breakfast area in lobby.
- Promote teamwork and team member morale.
- Ensure that all team members are adhering to front desk credit policies and procedures to minimize bad debt and rebates; do accurate bucket check and review credit reports.
- Work with sales department to coordinate group reservations room blocking and yield management decisions.
- Complete shift closing accurately, assisting cashiers in banking out if they experience minor difficulties.
- Act as manager on duty when necessary; have a sound knowledge of all emergency procedures.
- Provide assistance to other team members to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the hotel.

Education and Experience:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and available for all shifts.
- GED/Diploma and 2 years of hotel experience preferred.
