What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast Pantry Supervisor position at Home2Suites?
Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Breakfast Pantry Supervisor to support the Pantry Department at our gorgeous property, HOME2 Suites Philadelphia Convention Center. This position will be responsible for running the floor and ensuring that all of the hotel’s food and beverage service standards are upheld to the highest degree. He/she has the passion, dedication and vision to inspire our employees in providing emotional service to our guests. The Supervisor is also responsible for the effective and efficient staffing of the breakfast area. We are looking for someone with personality, experience, and drive to contribute to the continued success of this luxury property.
General Requirements
- Supervises Breakfast Attendant staff during breakfast service.
- Communicates the Home2 Suites Breakfast Pantry’s vision to all team members and leads by example.
- Reinforces the Wurzak Hotel Group (WHG) values daily and fosters our culture and inspires the team with his/her exciting vision.
- Assists with recruitment, selection, training and development initiatives, as well as coaching and performance management.
- Use conflict/resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Maintains a positive and professional guest relations attitude. Building professional relationships with guests by visiting table during breakfast service, as well as building professional relationships with team members and senior management alike.
- Provide appropriate service recovery when necessary.
- Ensuring the Breakfast Buffet is always Hilton QA ready and fully stocked at all times.
- Ensuring brand scores for the breakfast area are at the brand benchmark or higher.
- Maintain cleanliness of breakfast area at all times. Ensuring the guests’ eating area and kitchen area are clean and organized before leaving for the day.
- Adhere to high food handling standards.
- Use proper sanitation procedures including hand washing and gloves when handling food; ensuring team members are following proper sanitation procedures.
- Follow FIFO stock rotation method (first in, first out).
- Ensure all breakfast equipment is in working order, communicating to Engineering and upper management regarding any deficiencies.
- Assists with managing inventory, budgeting and scheduling.
- Maintain appropriate par levels of all china, glass and silverware, as well as food.
- Assist with creating orders through Birch Street.
Education and Experience:
- Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience in a similar environment.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma is hospitality is an asset.
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to present and conduct briefings and meetings.
- Proven team-building skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with all levels of the organization.
- Hand on and motivates by setting the service example by leading the way we interact with guests.
