Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an energetic Senior Sales Manager to drive the sales efforts of our Home2 Suites by Hilton in downtown Philadelphia. Located in the heart of the city, yards from Philadelphia Convention Center and Reading Terminal Market, and walking distance from the Liberty Bell & Independence Hall. The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy for this prime location hotel.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in sales management within the hospitality industry who is eager to take the next step in their career. As a result, this individual should be a self-starter, have Hilton brand experience, and a commitment to drive sales, develop relationships, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
General Requirements
- Professionally approach and communicate with current and prospective customers, partners, and associates.
- Understand the market, the brand, positioning of the Home2, booking patterns, trends, high-demand times, and events in the market.
- Represent the Home2 in the community, including key sales relationships like the Philadelphia Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and the Hilton brand.
- Handle group inquiries. Efficiently respond to and follow up on all event requests, including quoting rates and availability in accordance with the hotel’s strategy.
- Personally manage the Corporate / BT market segments, maintaining existing relationships and identifying potential new accounts, to ensure targeted room night and revenue contribution.
- Properly maintain and communicate all client information, including group room blocks in all applicable systems (Delphi, OnQ).
- Allocate and control sales and marketing expenditures to maximize return on investment and conform to budgetary requirements.
- Participate in the weekly revenue management strategy meeting and provide ongoing assistance with the hotel pricing and revenue optimization process. Participate in the monthly long-term forecast and annual budget processes.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years as a Director of Sales within the hotel industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Familiarity with industry software and tools.
