Primary Duties & Responsibilities
PLEASE NOTE - This is not a remote position.
Come join our team! HOMEBANK is a family-owned bank that prides itself on supporting the communities it serves. We are looking to expand our team and are currently searching for a detail-oriented Loan Documentation and Processing Specialist. The primary role of this position is to ensure loan documentation is prepared in accordance to bank policy and regulation.
This is a full-time position working primarily out of the Palmyra facility, but we are open to discussion on alternate locations. Desired work schedule would be Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for 40 hours a week.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with loan officers and lending assistants to gather necessary information for loan files.
- Collaborate with other internal bank teams to facilitate funding requirements and customer’s needs.
- Complete post-closing loan file review as needed to ensure all required documents are in the file and executed properly.
- Review funded loans to the bank’s core system for accuracy.
- Prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
- Prepare documentation for loan denials and withdrawals
- Research and analysis of customer’s existing accounts
- Organize loan files pre and post loan closing.
- Coordinate funding and disbursement of loans with lenders and title companies.
- Application of loan payments and line of credit advances.
- Maintain/update procedures.
- Prepare loan documentation for digital file system.
- Communicate with third parties as needed.
- Daily loan department filing as needed.
- Assist loan production and servicing staff as needed.
- Assist loan officers as needed.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Annually sign Customer Confidentiality and Privacy statement
- Annually attend Robbery/Security Training
- Annually read and execute the Employee Handbook and Disaster Plan
- Be flexible and versatile with job duties as they arise throughout the day.
- Be able to prioritize and complete assignments.
- Work as a team member of HOMEBANK lending staff
- Communicate any problems to supervisor.

Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Previous loan/legal experience preferred but can train new hire.
- Maintain a working knowledge of banking laws and regulations and internal policies and procedures related to the job.
- Detail oriented.
- Multi-tasking.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Initiative to perform requires duties.
- Self-starter
- Be proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Web based applications (data entry, email, etc.)
