DSP/Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism. In this role, you will assist clients in their daily activities, promote independence, and support and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, challenging behaviors, and autism in various settings, including home care and community environments.
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, basic housekeeping and medication management.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness in living spaces.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and personal growth.
• Document client progress and any significant changes in behavior or health status accurately.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to create individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
• Strong understanding of caregiving principles, including patient monitoring and home care practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all clients.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory at the time of application.
• Must have a valid drivers license, and transportation to and from work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
