What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at HomeCare Advocacy Network Crystal Lake?
Objective:
The Caregiver/Care Advocate is expected to provide extraordinary in-home care to seniors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build rapport with clients, engaging in conversation and providing companionship
- Assist clients with their prescribed health plan
- Assist with non-medical hygiene and personal care needs
- Monitor and report changes in physical and mental health behavior
- Ensure the client’s home is organized and safety measures are in place
- Provide emotional support and encouragement
- Assist with mobility needs
- Provide client with transportation
Education/Experience and Licensing Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and liability auto insurance coverage
- Have a professional and friendly attitude
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by HomeCare Advocacy Network.
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively.
- Must have the ability to work independently and maintain the confidentiality of information.
- Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
- Must demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies, and procedures.
- Must have the ability to establish good working relationships.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be patient and congenial on the telephone.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the senior care industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
