About the Role :
We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and proactive caregiver to support an elderly client in Danville experiencing depression. The ideal candidate will be active, engaging, and able to provide emotional support while encouraging physical activity and social interaction. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others feel better through connection, movement, and positive encouragement.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, including engaging in conversations and offering a listening ear.
- Encourage and facilitate physical activities tailored to the client's needs and abilities (e.g., light walks, stretching, or exercise routines).
- Help the client manage medications and attend appointments.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and uplifting environment.
- Monitor mental and physical health, providing updates to family members or healthcare providers as needed.
