Summary of Position: The Business Development Manager develops, implements and maintains marketing strategies based on the Agency’s goals and objectives. Ensures satisfaction of current referral sources and identify their future needs. Develop marketing programs and strategies to target potential referral sources and facilities. In collaboration with the Business Development team, identify and develop market areas and achieve marketing goals.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with the leadership team to develop marketing budget and new marketing programs
- Reviews, prepares, and maintains admission and marketing reports and marketing material
- Directs marketing activities and monitors that performance and admission goals are achieved
- Establishes and maintains relationships with existing and new referral sources
- Coordinates and attends events or programs to educate existing and potential referral sources about HomeCare Maryland’s services and resources
- Research market trends and recommend marketing strategies to meet market changes and competitive conditions
- Coordinate with the Intake Department, clinical management team and leadership team regarding potential areas for growth and new business
- Obtains orders or documents as required to facilitate the referral process. Develop, educate, and implement a robust platform to increase collaboration/referrals with care management team and physicians at facilities
- Attend hospital-based meetings/in-services/rounds as needed
- Directs recruiting, selection, orientation, training, and performance evaluations of the liaison team. Provides the liaison team with education, tools, and resources to be compliant with all HomeCare Maryland’s policies, state and federal regulations
- Assign primary and cross-coverage liaisons for facilities, referral sources or territories; assist with coverage assignments as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Graduate of accredited college/university or nursing program
- 1-year health care experience, home care experience required
- 1-year health care and medical sales experience, required
