What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Homecrest Outdoor Living (Located in Wadena, MN)?
Job Summary: Perform maintenance related tasks in order for efficient production of products within the facility.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and repair plant equipment as needed such as sewing machines, presses, saws, and forklifts
- Fabricate carts, racks, and benches using welder, bandsaw, and grinder
- Assist with installing and removing equipment
- Assist with airline installation
- Maintain grounds and move snow as required
- Inspect, clean, and lubricate plant equipment on a regular schedule
- Assist in maintaining the physical plant by changing filters and light bulbs, repairing air leaks, and performing light construction projects
- Work on other projects as assigned
- Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
- Work at a consistent and steady pace, be prepared to work each day, and report to assigned work area in a punctual manner.
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Work required overtime as needed

- Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Keep facilities, materials and work area clean and orderly
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required education and training:
- High school diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities and communicate effectively with co-workers
- Able to work out of a man lift
- Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Prior experience working on forklifts/engines is a plus
- Basic math and reading
- Basic mechanical aptitude
