We are currently in need of a Delivery Operations Manager to oversee one of our furniture home delivery operations in the Melbourne, FL area. This leader will oversee and recruit our network of independent home delivery contract carrier partners and interact with and serve our clients, and make sure that each and every delivery customer has an amazing delivery experience. Skills used include computer-based routing system knowledge, MS Office applications, verifiable customer service excellence, above-average verbal and electronic communication skills, adherence to established processes, and process development ability.
- Required 1 year experience in 3PL or related logistics field.
- Preferred 1 year experience in furniture or appliance final mile home delivery management.
- Excellent organization and critical thinking skills required
- Strong Oral and Verbal communication skills required
- Ability to positively motivate others in the work environment
- Multi-tasking ability in a fast paced environment
- Ability to externally recruit home delivery contract delivery carriers
- DOT and Federal regulations knowledge
- Experience resolving In-home damage and merchandise claims
Flexibility of schedule is required. Weekends and early morning shifts are required.
Candidates with home delivery experience and a professional network in the Western WA contract carrier community are preferred.
