We are seeking a talented HR leader to join our team as an Talent Development and Engagement Director. This role will play a critical part in shaping our organizational culture and driving employee success.
Job Description
The Talent Development and Engagement Director will oversee the daily operations of our Human Resources department, implementing strategies and policies set forth by our Chief People Officer (CPO). This role is crucial in ensuring effective talent management, employee engagement, and compliance with HR best practices.
This position will lead a team of HR professionals, including a Human Resources Generalist and two Talent Acquisition Specialists. The Director will work closely with the CPO to align HR initiatives with HomeFront's mission, goals, and objectives.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing the administration of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, payroll administration, and compliance
• Ensuring HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and communicated across the organization
• Leading the performance management process, working with managers to set clear performance goals and provide feedback
• Supporting managers with employee challenges, providing guidance on disciplinary counseling and performance improvement
• Collaborating with the CPO to design and implement employee engagement initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture
• Managing proactive Human Resources communications across the organization, including the ownership of employee intranet resources
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor's Degree in HR or a related field
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including at least 3 years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and related HR analytics
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience working in a non-profit Human Resources setting
• Active HR professional certifications (SHRM, PHR) preferred
