Taco Mundo Kitchen Y Cantina in Columbia, SC is now hiring a Busser
As a Busser, you'll play a vital role in creating a seamless dining experience for our guests. Your attention to detail and efficiency will contribute to a positive and memorable dining experience. This role will focus their attention on the cleanliness and upkeep of the front of house dining and service areas. The Busser / Chip Runner plays a vital role in ensuring efficient and seamless service by delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner. Will ensure tables are clean and ready for the next Amigo. Assist servers while embracing the lively energy of the restaurant. They act as a liaison between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the high standards of Homegrown Hospitality Group/Restaurant.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helps maintain cleanliness in the front of house, dining room, bar, lounge, restroom and service stations, as well as assist in maintaining the overall maintenance and cleanliness of outside expo and dish area.
- Practices the safe handling and storage of products, cleaning utensils and chemicals in accordance to state law and creates an environment safe and hazard free
- Follows instructions in accordance to use of chemicals and their disposal, equipment and use of wet floor signs at all times
- Helps maintain all garbage inside and outside of the restaurant during business hours by changing out the on a regular basis when full, and keeps area where garbage is stored clean and free of pests
- Helps stock ice, paper products and other items needed for guest service
- Can operate a dish machine, understands how to measure sanitizer and soap levels in a three-bay sink and handles each piece of equipment and small wares safely and properly while washing and storing
- Supports Host, Bar and Service staff if needed as back up
- Maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner in compliance with state health and safety regulations
- Carries large loads of plates, utensils and glassware to kitchen for washing
- Quickly and efficiently cleans/clear tables and chairs; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables and other setup, breakdown and cleaning activities, as needed
- Helps to identify any wet floors, trip hazards or any other unsafe obstacles that may present a danger to the staff or guests and works with the manager on duty to immediately rectify
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Must certify in Alcohol Safety training within the first 7 days of working
- Prior experience working in a restaurant preferred but not required
- Previous experience as a food runner or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to
work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of
time. - Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
SALARY RANGE
$12 / Hour
