JOB POSITION: EXPO
This position is responsible for the execution, garnishing, proper plate presentation and expediting of all guest food from the kitchen and serves as the liaison between the back and front of the house for all of the food items on Homegrown Hospitality Group’s, restaurant specific menu, including Appetizers, Salads, Soups, Entrees, Desserts and Specialty Items. As an Expo Cook, you'll be the final touch to every dish that leaves our kitchen. You'll ensure that each dish is beautifully presented and delivered to our guests in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plate dishes according to specific standards, ensuring accurate portion sizes and attractive presentation.
- Expedite orders to servers, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
- Monitor the quality of food and plating to maintain consistency.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
- Keep the expo station clean and organized.
MAGNITUDE/SCOPE:
- Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety, and security procedures
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Skilled in time management and organization with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
- Knowledge of specs, cook times, plate presentation, etc.
- Adheres to ticket order management system
- Comply with all specs, quality standards, and department rules and procedures
- Take directions from kitchen manager and general manager
SIZE AND COMPLEXITY:
- Ability to follow specific service time and guidelines Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time
- Must be reliable and dependable by adhering to a schedule, covering shifts as necessary, and being on time for scheduled shifts
- Interaction:
- Maintain positive working relationships with all Team Members and managers
- Work as a contributing member of a team
- External Relationships:
- Exceed our Guest’s expectations every day by achieving the highest level of satisfaction with an extraordinary focus on friendly service, food, fun, and value
- Polite vendor interaction with delivery personnel for food, linen, chemical, pest control, etc.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
REQUIRED
- Must be 18 years of age
PREFERRED
- Prior experience working in a restaurant or retail setting
- Bi-lingual - fluent in English and Spanish
