Home Care Aide/Caregiver

Job Overview
**This post is for pre-screening individuals ahead of time for when clients need to be staffed quickly. Be aware you could not be working for minimum a week up to a month. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for those in need, particularly seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients in daily living activities including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's well-being.
• Monitor and record vital signs as necessary, ensuring any changes are reported to appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Implement individualized care plans that respect resident rights and promote dignity.
• Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage clients in social activities to encourage interaction and mental stimulation.

Experience

• Previous experience in senior care or home community care is preferred.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of long-term care practices and resident rights is beneficial.
• Certification in First Aid or CPR is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients effectively.
• Experience in direct support roles that require compassion and patience is essential.

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
