Job Summary
Homeland is partnering with an acute care hospital in Arizona that specializes in a wide range of comprehensive healthcare services, including imaging, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary, emergency services, hospice, infusion care, laboratory, orthopedics, wound care, pharmacy, and more.
Our client is seeking a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) to join their team! In this role, you will provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab, ensuring adherence to CVMC standards, AACN guidelines, and AHA Cath Lab best practices. The CNL is responsible for assessing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating safe, patient-centered care. Additionally, the CNL will mentor team members, support their professional development, and ensure adequate resources for both current and future shifts. This role requires collaboration with clinical and non-clinical departments to facilitate timely patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. On-call coverage may be required to meet Chest Pain accreditation standards. The CNL will maintain professionalism and hold the team accountable for ongoing compliance with practice standards

Responsibilities
Education & Training:
- Attend required classes such as Unit Skills Fair, one mock code per quarter, ACLS, and CPR
- Complete and submit annual competency evaluations
- Maintain a current individual education profile
- Demonstrate an understanding of regulatory requirements and professional practice guidelines
- Stay updated on organizational policies and procedures
- Show proficiency in department-specific skills and serve as a resource and mentor
- Actively participate in leadership activities and meetings
- Report significant events (e.g., near misses, adverse events, patient/family complaints) promptly
- Proactively round with team members to identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure handoff communication occurs at shift changes and transitions of care
- Delegate patient care tasks based on staff experience, competency, and knowledge
- Assign tasks to unlicensed support staff per state regulations and facility policies
- Assist in monitoring staff performance for evaluations
- Ensure adherence to infection control precautions and procedures
- Participate in at least one process improvement project annually
- Ensure completion of work, including documentation and task prioritization, during each shift
- Prepare a report for the oncoming shift and ensure patient care areas are stocked and organized
- Arrive on time for work and demonstrate cost-effective behaviors (eg, avoiding overtime, implementing staffing guidelines)
- Assist team members with direct patient care as needed
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure safe and effective care
- Perform other department-specific tasks as assigned by leadership
- Round with patients and family members to address needs and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure adequate staffing and monitor supplies to prevent waste
- Help ensure proper equipment use to avoid damage
- Adhere to professional guidelines, including state nursing boards, ANA standards, and ethical practice
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver patient-centered care
- Demonstrate strong communication, conflict resolution, team-building, and leadership skills
- Participate in maintaining and updating standards of practice, serving as a role model for others
Requirements
- Comply with legal, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of Clinical Leadership (CL) experience
- Active Arizona or Compact RN License (required)
- Obtain ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
