The Quality Improvement Manager is a new role designed to play an integral role in the agency's growth as Homeless Solutions incorporates Medicaid reimbursement into its service and revenue structure for the first time in it's 42 year history of serving the community in Morris County, NJ. This pivotal professional opportunity reports directly to the Head of Program Impact & Data Quality (who also serves as the agency's Compliance Officer), with dotted lines to the Director of Finance and the Director of Programs & Services.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working with insurance systems, preferably Medicaid, and the ability to conceptualize complex policy and procedure, with strong demonstrated written and verbal communication and contractual relationship building skills. This position will work collaboratively with frontline social service staff to effectively integrate government compliance with mission driven work. Eligible for remote work dependent on agency need and management discretion, and requiring occasional travel / onsite presence in Morristown, New Jersey throughout the year.
This role is a grant funded position with an estimated duration of 1 year, with potential opportunity for permanent employment. Starting compensation is offered at $60-$70K annually.

Key Responsibilities :
1. Serve as agency liaison and compliance management lead for managed care organizations (MCO's) and governmental and other agencies responsible for the administration and oversight of the NJ Family Care Housing Supports Program, including :
- Development of strong and productive working relationships with each of the five managed care organizations (MCO's) participating in the NJ Family Care Housing Supports Program
- Drive the credentialing process with each of the MCO's including contract negotiations and with the NJ Department of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS)
- Maintain high quality lists of compliance and reporting requirements for DMAHS, each MCO, and each funding source related to the Housing Supports Program (i.e. DCA)
- Conduct regular audits of client records including case notes and other backup documentation
2. Work collaboratively with other staff to develop and maintain policies and procedures across programs that are mission aligned, trauma-informed, culturally-competent, and Medicaid- compliant.
3. Manage readiness related projects and tasks during the initial development and launch of the Housing Supports Program including sourcing of consulting services, training opportunities and legal counsel as needed.
4 . Directly supervise interns working to support the agency's Housing Supports Programs over the course of the year.
