What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaning and Building Maintenance - PTO position at Homeless Veterans Fellowship?
Job Description: Perform Custodial Cleaning and light Building Maintenance work in several buildings: cleaning and maintaining grounds as needed. Successfully communicate with a variety of supervisors, take direction from more than one supervisor, and also supervise contractors as needed. Hours of work 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Different hours may be required based on needs.
Duties:
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance as needed.
- Help maintain facilities to be safe and secure.
- Assist with transportation of clients as needed.
- Perform repairs on broken equipment, within scope of abilities,
- Perform patch, paint and general maintenance tasks in a professional manner
- Contact and oversee licensed contractors working on projects, repairs and cleaning.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of related experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and information
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs. periodically
- Must be able to take instruction and also work well by yourself
- Must be able to use cleaning chemicals, some power tools, and hand tools safely
- Must be able to understand and operate all equipment safely
- Must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately and safely.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (e-mail and calendars)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, no DUI in the past 10 years)
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Part-time to full time position.$18.00-$23.00 per hour, based on experience.
