Cashier/Barista

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that each guest receives a warm welcome and exceptional service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and contributing to the overall success of our café.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.
• Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, countertops, and seating areas.
• Utilize Square POS system for order processing and inventory management.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations and answer any questions about menu items.
• Monitor stock levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.
• Experience using POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for customer interaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• A love for Conchas and coffee.

• An excellent fit with our company values.

• An active cell phone and gmail account.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

• Current Food Handlers card or ServSafe Certification.

• 18 years or older

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
