What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Homemakers Furniture?
Homemakers is looking to add an accountant to our team! This is a 100% on-site position.
Summary: This position allows you to use your focused expertise in accounts payable procedures with an understanding of accounts receivables to assist when necessary.
Description of Job Duties
- Process weekly ACH and check vendor payments for all vendors
- Receives and produces payments credits and invoices
- Investigate and track payments, discrepancies, refunds, returns, miscellaneous charges, and credits
- Balance vendor statements and daily deposits
- Process and review delivery reports to prevent delivery prior to full balance payment
- Maintain and explain vendor and customer records
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years’ accounting degree or equivalent experience
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience with a passion for teaching and coaching others
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
