Vice President, Programs and Impact
Job purpose
Vice President of Programs and Impact is a senior-level executive within the organization responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, ensuring they align with the organization's mission, strategic priorities, and achieve significant positive impact on our resident and client population; Management of the program teams, including resource and budget allocation, strategic partnerships, and reporting on measurable outcomes to stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities
Strategic Program Development :
Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive program strategies aligned with the organization's mission, identifying key areas of focus and target populations.
Program Management :
Oversee the day-to-day operations of all programs, including staff management, budget oversight, performance monitoring, and quality control.
Impact Measurement and Evaluation :
Establish robust evaluation frameworks to track program effectiveness, measure key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze data to inform program improvements.
Partnership Building :
Cultivate strategic partnerships with other organizations, funders, and community stakeholders to maximize program reach and impact.
Fundraising and Grant Writing :
Lead the resource development team to secure funding for programs, including writing compelling grant proposals and presentations to potential donors and oversight of Homeport’s donor engagement and donor relations activities.
Reporting and Communication :
Regularly communicate program progress and impact to internal and external stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications.
Team Leadership :
Build and lead high-performing program teams, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Deep understanding of social issues : Extensive knowledge of the social challenges the organization addresses and the relevant policy landscape.
Program design and implementation expertise : Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage complex programs with measurable outcomes.
Data analysis and evaluation skills : Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making, track program effectiveness, and evaluate impact.
Leadership and management experience : Strong leadership skills to manage diverse teams and build a culture of collaboration. Minimum of 5 to 10 years Executive or Sr. Level experience
Excellent communication skills : Ability to effectively communicate program goals, impact stories, and complex information to various audiences.
Fundraising and donor relations experience : Experience in working with diverse sources, including foundations, corporations, and individuals.

Occasionally accessibility via cell phone, ability to work a nonstandard work week and / or work evening hours, may be required.There may be occasional travel on company and / or personal time as well as work at various locations. This position requires a reliable, personal means of transportation. This individual in this position must hold and maintain Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. We have a “Hybrid Office” with optional work at home on Monday and Fridays.
