What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at HOMEROOM?
Homeroom is looking to add a committed and hospitality-minded line cook to its team.
This is a hybrid role: a combination of both line cook and front of house team member. This position requires the right blend of culinary acumen and gracious customer service skills. As the lead line cook in our open kitchen, you will be expected to interface with guests, speak confidently about our menu and brand, and occasionally jump in to take an order or run some food, in addition to executing our menu to the highest standard.
Candidates are:
Open from 7am-3pm, 6 days per week, Homeroom offers light breakfast, a seasonally-driven lunch menu, and a concise coffee and beverage program with Ox Coffee at the forefront. Owned and operated by CookNSolo alum chef Henry Morgan, Homeroom opened in March of 2022. Our goal is to reimagine what a small neighborhood cafe can be, by dishing up simple yet inventive cuisine and elevated, genuine hospitality.
A minimum of one year experience in a comparable role is required for this position.
Hourly wage based on experience plus tips, with the opportunity to grow into a salaried management position, plus health insurance.
Hourly wage begins at $20; tips average an additional $6-$10 per hour.
