About the job
Overview :
We are looking for a (Senior) Director level candidate to lead our Gene Editing Technology Development activities. This role will encompass both hands-on lab work, as well as project, team, and partner management. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert across a wide range of gene editing technologies and is able to independently drive projects and work cross-functionally to achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead cross-functional team to develop and optimize gene editing tools in a matrix environment.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across a range of gene editing enzymes.
- Interface with external partners and manage those relationships.
- Contribute to driving strategy around gene editing.
- Take the lead on identifying and driving collaborative funding opportunities.
- Present at both internal and external meetings, including Scientific Conferences.
- Develop innovative technology and work with IP counsel to protect through patents and trade secrets.
