About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Sales Representative to join our dynamic team at a leading modular custom home manufacturer. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and plays a critical role in learning the business, mastering the sales process, and contributing to sales growth.
As a key member of the sales team, you will work closely with sales, operations and engineering personnel to understand customer needs, provide technical expertise, and assist in closing deals. This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the modular home industry, develop valuable sales and engineering skills, and support clients in customizing their dream homes. Your contributions will be essential in guiding customers through the sales journey from initial consultation to final sale.

This position is based at our Waynesboro, PA facility and reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Customer Consultation: Engage with potential clients to assess their needs, vision, and budget, providing expert guidance on modular home solutions.
- Networking: Leverage your network of established Modular Builder Clients to drive sales and hit the ground running.
- Prospecting: Follow up promptly on leads generated by the company website and other sources. Prospect new accounts and actively engage with modular home builders in designated areas.
- Sales Presentations: Present and explain the technical features, benefits, and designs of modular homes to clients, ensuring they understand the value and customization options.
- Customization and Revisions: Work closely with draftsman to revise and tailor modular home designs, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and construction feasibility.
- Cost Estimation: Provide accurate cost estimates, material specifications, and timelines to clients based on the customized designs.
- Technical Expertise: Answer any technical questions related to modular construction methods, materials, and engineering aspects.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams, including draftsman, engineers, and construction teams, to ensure the designs meet technical standards and can be executed within project timelines.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing, ensuring customer satisfaction and seamless project handoff.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, modular home innovations, and emerging technologies to provide clients with the best possible solutions.
Qualifications:
- Sales Experience: At least 3 years of previous experience in B2C sales, particularly in construction, real estate, modular homes, or a related industry, is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in drafting software and understanding of building codes, construction standards, and modular home manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, engaging way.
- Sales Acumen: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals and handle customer relationships from lead generation to final sale.
- Problem Solving: Ability to offer creative solutions that align with both customer needs and technical constraints.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail in both design and sales processes.
Preferred Skills
- Design and Drafting: Ability to create initial home designs, sketches, and blueprints using drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp) based on customer specifications and modular home requirements.
- Familiarity with modular home construction techniques and sustainability practices.
- Experience in cost estimation and project management.
- Knowledge of building permits and regulatory processes for residential construction.
The advertised salary range includes a combination of base salary plus anticipated commission for the upcoming year.
