We are seeking a Land Development Project Manager to join our growing land department. The Land Development Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of land development projects both onsite and in the office. This role involves coordinating and leading a team of professionals and contractors to ensure the successful execution of land development initiatives from inception to completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage development activities for large Master Plan or multiple smaller projects throughout our target market.
- Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses and control cost throughout the land development process.
- Regularly review all active development projects to verify work progress and contractor activity.
- Meet on site with contractors and subcontractors weekly.
- Keep accurate records of onsite activity, including SWPPPs.
- Coordinate on-site construction activity for the scope of work with subcontractors and field consultants as necessary.
- Manage platting process from initiation to recordation.
- Track and communicate key projected milestones to relevant internal departments, including power, paving and certification.
- Supervise and coordinate with architects, engineers, landscape architects, soils and environmental engineers, and other consultants in preparation of required development applications and approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum (3) years of experience in land development or relevant field
- High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in the field of Construction Management, Urban Design, Business, Engineering, or related course study preferred.
- Advanced PC skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent analytical and writing capabilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines concurrently.
- Valid driver’s license
