What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Homes of America?
Scope/Objective
The Maintenance Tech will report directly to the MU Community Manager as designated. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for conducting services such as landscaping, light construction, general maintenance and responsible for maintaining tools, equipment, trucks for a specific community . Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting safety audits, walking inventory homes and following up to property visits (maintenance). Adhering to all applicable Fair Housing Laws governing real estate sales, leasing /management/ maintenance services.
The following is a list of responsibilities including but not limited to the performance of the Maintenance Tech as determined by Homes of America
· Working side by side with CM’s/ RM’s in the field and collaborating on needs of designated community(s).
· Obtaining 3 bids from multiple vendors to set up services/contracts. Ensuring warranty on all work and services performed.
· Initiate ways to identify problems within community in areas such as plumbing, electrical infrastructure, drainage, leaks etc.
· Walk communities each day and conduct an internal safety audit for compliance.
· Ensuring Work Orders are being handled daily, signed off on and filed properly when completed. .
· Negotiate pricing with vendors on a local/national level for supplies and service as needed.
· Walking Inventory Homes daily for status and quality of work.
· Ensuring safety audits are compliant and up to company standards.
· Managing costs to approved and established yearly budgets.
Qualifications:
· Experience and/or knowledge of operating heavy and standard equipment.
Experience in landscaping, basic construction and general maintenance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
