The Deal Analysis team is responsible for the financial evaluation all new acquisition and partnership targets for HomeServe in North America. The team reports to the CFO and works closely with both Business Development and the HVAC Division. In this role you will be responsible for working with the EVP of Deal Analysis in coordinating the multi-departmental due diligence of target companies with specific responsibility for undertaking the financial due diligence for a large variety of acquisition opportunities.
Responsibilities:

- Detailed financial M&A due diligence of a range of core and non-core acquisition targets
- Preparing financial due diligence reports for each target and presenting findings to Executives and US Board
- Preparing DCF models for HVAC acquisition targets and supporting Deal Modelling team in creating financial models for Policy acquisition target
- Working closely with HVAC BD team, being primary Finance lead in discussions with prospects, providing guidance in relation to deal related financial, and accounting issues.
- Working with Business Development in ad hoc financial evaluation of targets
- Be the primary point of contact for Finance on deal related matters across all departments
- Prepare the Purchase Accounting model and Accounting Memos for all M&A transactions, being primary point of contact with Accounting and external Auditors
Job Requirements:
- Education Requirements: Certified Public Accountant or equivalent
- 6 years of accounting experience, including 3 years of financial due diligence experience, preferably with Transaction Services group with Big 4 Accounting Firm
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage groups during presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment
- Self-starter able to work independently and comfortable with interacting up, down and across the organization
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Able to comply with 10%-15% business travel
- Must have an ability to write concise diligence reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work, dynamic growth environment
- Strong Excel skills and knowledge of building DCF financial models
