In this hybrid role, you will work at least 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034.

Position Compensation Range:
$86,000.00 - $142,000.00Pay Rate Type:

Primary Accountabilities
Use significant actuarial knowledge and business knowledge to manage complex actuarial projects as assigned in such areas as product development and related pricing, profitability studies, cash flow testing/asset liability management/reserve analysis.
Utilize an in depth understanding and facility in the use of database tools for the purpose of development and analysis of complex experience studies, pricing, reserving and other actuarial calculations.
Use strong knowledge of actuarial analysis and forecasting to participate in the development, implementation and/or maintenance of actuarial related software (e.g., life reserve extract files; policy factor files (premiums, cash values, etc.); actuarial/mathematical calculation applications).
Prepare and analyze complex data for use in actuarial experience studies, valuation, or pricing projects.
Use fully developed knowledge and expertise of actuarial methodologies to actively influence project team participants. Provide consultation and clarification on actuarial models and risk issues to influence team members and management toward courses of action that have a sizeable impact on profitability.
Maintain standard documentation on assigned projects/tasks.
Consult with other departments and field force by answering inquiries and providing explanations of an actuarial nature.
May be requested to complete other assignments or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Education Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of life products, pricing, valuation, financial reporting, and industry trends.
Demonstrated experience, communicating complex actuarial analysis to business partners.
Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience using actuarial software with database tools and statistical tools.
Demonstrated experience with programming languages.
Demonstrated effective communication and problem-solving skills.
In pursuit of Associate or Fellow in Casualty Actuary Society.
Additional Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Education Requriments
The preferred candidate will have passed a minimum of two actuarial exams, as well previous actuarial experience.
