Quality Assurance Technician reports to the Commissary Manager & Director of Operation of the Commissary. All members of the team should inspire and embody HomeState's culture, mission, and core values. Quality Assurance Technicians contribute to the HomeState community by implementing standards of quality and food safety adherence. Support Quality Programs : Engage in various quality assurance activities, including Internal Auditing, GMPs, Hold and Release processes, Pre-startup Inspections, Traceability, Material Verification, Document Control, HACCP, Product Commercialization, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).Auditing and Compliance : Actively participate in auditing programs to ensure adherence to all procedures, policies, GMP standards, HomeState requirements, and applicable regulatory, federal, and local laws.Environmental Testing : Conduct sample collection for the Pathogen Environmental Program.Supplier Non-Conformance : Participate in the non-conformance process for raw materials and packaging suppliers, ensuring timely resolution of issues.Documentation Review : Perform thorough documentation reviews to ensure compliance with food safety and quality programs.Foreign Substance Investigations : Collaborate with the operations team to investigate HACCP deviations and foreign substance incidents.Ingredient Review : Conduct incoming ingredient reviews and manage the release process to ensure they meet quality standards.Customer Complaints : Support investigations and tracking of customer complaints to identify and resolve quality issues.Hold / Release Documentation : Manage Hold / Release documentation and oversee the disposition of products.Training : Provide Food Safety, Quality, and Compliance training to other employees.Safety Compliance : Support and adhere to proper commissary safety policies and procedures.Additional Duties : Perform additional Quality and Sanitation duties as assigned to meet business needs.Health, Safety & Compliance
Promote, work, and act in a safe manner consistent with the mission, visions, and core values of HomeState.Understand and comply with standard portion sizes, recipes instructions, builds, cooking methods, quality standards, packaging / fulfillment procedures and kitchen rules, policies (GMP's) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Promptly inform team Leads and Commissary Manager when equipment is not working properly and when supplies are getting low.Maintain regular, predictable attendance, which includes attendance at all scheduled employee meetings.Work closely with other team members through performance of daily tasks to support each other and promote teamwork, safety and healthy culture.Fully understand and exhibit the HomeState culture, embodying our mission, visions and core values.Report any safety concerns / incidents to management in a timely manner.Cleaning & Organizational Duties
Clean and sanitize work station area including tables, shelves, desk and all areas that this position will holdMaintain level of QA supply stock well kept and notify Leadership when needs to be restocked.What You Will Bring

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Education / Certifications :High School Diploma (required)Job-Specific Requirements :Background in Sciences (preferred)Experience in food production(required)Experience in Food Manufacturing (preferred)Bilingual Spanish and English (strongly preferred)Manager Food Safety Certification required, or ability to pass the test if provided.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
