We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Certified Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, understands the importance of client education, and is a supportive and positive team player. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing and Homestead Animal Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. Requirements:
- Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician, license must be current
- 2 years in the veterinary industry
- Must work rotating Saturdays
- Knowledge of basic industry tools and equipment
- Experience with proper and humane animal handling and restraint
- Believes in the importance of client education
- Compassionate toward our patients and clients
- Motivated to learn new skills
- Positive and supportive team player
- Able to bend easily, and stand for long periods of time
- Able to pick up 40lbs comfortably
