Position Overview
The Intake and Operations Associate for our ABA therapy department will be the first point of contact for families, guiding them through the initial steps to begin therapy. This role involves gathering and managing the necessary documentation, working with insurance companies to secure authorizations, and coordinating start dates between families and therapists. Working closely with our Program Director, you’ll troubleshoot any issues that might delay services, ensuring a smooth start for our clients.
This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in both client relations and the operational aspects of ABA therapy. Ideal candidates are highly organized, have strong people skills, and are eager to learn about the workings of ABA therapy within a respected behavioral health organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Documentation: Work with client families to collect and verify all necessary documentation required to start ABA therapy.
- Insurance Coordination: Submit documents to insurance companies and follow up to secure authorizations for therapy services.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate start dates with families and therapists, ensuring that all parties have the information needed for a smooth launch.
- Operational Support: Complete administrative and operational tasks as needed to support the ABA department.
- Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the Program Director to address and resolve issues that may prevent clients from beginning therapy services.
Qualifications
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with attention to detail, especially when managing multiple client files and tracking authorizations.
- People Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with families, insurance representatives, and therapists.
- Experience Preferred: Prior experience in healthcare administration, customer service, or operations is beneficial but not required.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle changing priorities.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education in psychology, healthcare administration, or a related field is a plus.
