Homestead Cabinets is looking to hire a Final Assembly Technician to join our team. Position Details:
- Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (some overtime may be required)
- Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour, depending on experience
As a Final Assembly Technician, you will play an important role in manufacturing, assembly, and basic testing of products, while continuously seeking ways to improve the assembly area and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow work procedures, schematics, or verbal instructions to complete tasks
- Perform manufacturing and assembly operations according to Homestead’s procedures, work instructions, and process aids
- Maintain daily production output to meet goals
- Participate in quality control inspections, ensuring both in-process and finished products meet standards
- Assist in other departments as needed to support overall operations
- Work collaboratively with team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to enhance quality and process efficiency
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong ability to communicate and follow complex instructions
- Adherence to good manufacturing principles and processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- A curiosity and desire to learn new skills and techniques
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently move, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and occasionally lift/move items over 50 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Comfortable working in a noisy and dusty environment
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, clamping, and moving objects
- Frequent squatting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pivoting, and reaching
