General Function: Responsible for coordinating summer camp activities and field trips, ensuring that the Summer Recreation Aide I’s are keeping the children engaged in activities and abiding by their schedules at the summer camp program. Duties will also include verifying attendance counts, field trip forms, and sign-in/out procedures.Employee receives general supervision from Parks and Fields Specialist I, with independence allowed in the performance of routine tasks.Reports To: Parks and Fields Specialist IOperations ManagerSupervisory Responsibilities: Summer Recreation Aide I
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures that all forms are completed prior to new registration or field trips.Ensures that any incident reports or accident reports are completed.Acts as the lead during the camp including field trips.Ensures that recreation leaders are performing their dutiesAssist with planning special events including working with vendors, contracts, planning sheets, and creating event layouts.Ensures the safety of assigned equipment and participants. Including performing first aid. Training/certification will be provided.Ensure that recreational equipment is stored properly, returned after use, and maintained in good condition.Prepares reports as required.Transports children in 15 passenger van to various parks and locations during Summer Camp.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.All of the above information is intended to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
