As a new hire you will receive free extensive upfront & ongoing training that leads to a Pharmacy Technician certification with our exclusive Homestead Community Pharmacy Technician Training & Certification Program. Of course, you will need to successfully complete the program to continue working as a HCP Technician. A rewarding career and opportunities to grow into lead roles or training roles.

Length of Training Program: 6 months
Eligibility Requirements:
· Participants must be aged 18 or older at the start of the program
· Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)
· Experienced working in any customer service positions
· Strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude, and willing to undergo training.
· Readily accepts new responsibilities and takes ownership in their role.
· Critical thinking skills and the ability to see the big picture.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Demonstrates loyalty, fosters teamwork, and sets a positive example.
· Be honest, trustworthy and respectful.
· Expects all of the above from their coworkers and the organization they work for
· Willing to work on weekdays, weekends, evening shifts, and some holidays.
· Ability to move quickly from one task to another according to the needs of the pharmacy.
· The ability to concentrate on a task for significant periods of time.
Job Description:
- Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Accurately prepare prescriptions for pharmacist.
- Verify prescription information.
- Input patient information.
- Process and submit insurance claims.
- Provide quality customer service to patients and our healthcare providers.
- Answer phone within three rings.
- Basic understanding of POS procedures.
- Keeping customer and patient health information confidential.
- Do simple math including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
