The Shuttle Mechanic maintains and repairs the company's fleet of shuttles, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. This includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and conducting repairs as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on shuttles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid top-offs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems with shuttles, using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace defective parts in shuttles, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Conduct safety inspections of shuttles to ensure they meet all applicable regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on shuttles.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Collaborate with drivers to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- 2 years of experience working on automotive or heavy-duty vehicles
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Ability to use diagnostic tools
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Class B CDL Preferred
