Homestead Health Care is hiring MedTechs in our Senior Living Facility in Fort Gratiot, MI

As a caregiver, you have the opportunity to provide physical and emotional support to our residents who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from an illness. Additionally, it allows you to develop valuable skills such as patience, empathy, and communication. Currently we have afternoons available, it is a part time position. Every other weekend is required. Experience passing meds is a requirement.
Currently we have second shift available, 2pm-11pm! Flexibility to work first shift, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
- Administer medications to residents based on medical charts. Follow procedures regarding documenting of medications.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
- Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
- Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
- Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Experience working with the elderly.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Every other weekend is required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Driver’s license or ID.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
Pay:
Our starting pay is $15.00 per hour with room for growth.
