What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Shift Medication Management Technician (MedTech) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position at Homestead Village?
Medication Technician/Personal Care Assistant - 6 PM to 6 AM Shift. Must be dependable, follow attendance policy, and have reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check.

We are currently searching for patient care assistants (PCA) and medication technicians to join our team! We currently have four (4) PM shifts (6 PM to 6 AM) available. Must be able to work a 12-hour shift, at least three times per week, to include weekends when needed.
*Pay - starting at $15.00 per hour
*We help you obtain Med Tech certification and renewals as needed. Everyone is dual-trained as a PCA and Med Tech! Increase in pay for receiving the Med Tech certification.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass a level two background check - required
Willing to work a flexible schedule (including weekends) at least 3 times per week.
Desire to work with seniors, including memory care. Assisting with lifting, bathing, toileting, and other daily needs are a must and included in this position.
Must possess team spirit, good character, and personal integrity. A positive attitude and a can-do personality are qualities we look for when hiring. "It's not my job" is not a quality we look for when staffing for PCAs/Med Techs.
Must be dependable and have a high level of work ethic. Being on time for your scheduled shifts is a priority for you, as your attendance relates directly to the care of our seniors. Reliable transportation is required.
PARTIAL LIST OF JOB DUTIES:
Must verbally communicate effectively with residents and have the ability to perform a variety of simple repetitive tasks.
Escort and/or assist residents to and from residents’ rooms, dining rooms, and resident activities.
Assist in dressing and undressing residents, as well as bathing residents in the tub or shower.
Comb the resident’s hair, clean and cut the resident’s fingernails and toenails, assist in cleaning teeth and dentures, and give shampoos as needed.
Responsible for required reports (including resident charts and other computerized reports or records) by accurately recording events in writing.
Report unsafe working areas, hazards or equipment that needs repairing to Maintenance.
Assisting residents with medications, including documentation. Training and certification provided if needed.
