Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for providing a high level of support to the Commercial Banking Department and management by acting as liaison between the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Management, Loan Operations, clients/prospects of the bank and 3rd party insurance companies. The duties and responsibilities of this position include obtaining and reviewing reports, interacting with clients to obtain information, completion of necessary items for loan documentation, and monitoring of data while maintaining compliance with Bank policies and procedures.Job Details:
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Take the lead in partnering with Commercial Banking Management and staff, other internal departments, vendors and customers to ensure optimal customer service to Commercial Lending borrowers and prospects.
- Order 3rd party reports, as necessary (third party reports to include credit reports, background checks, preliminary title, environmental, appraisals, collateral exams, UCC searches and flood determination/notification).
- This position may focus on title reports, elimination of exceptions, and escrow closings.
- Review agreements such as purchase and sale agreements, insurance policies, trust certifications and leases for compliance with loan requirements. May provide recommendations for changes.
- Review loan doc boarding worksheets for completeness prior to submission for documentation.
- Ensure all documents required for documentation are in hand prior to requesting loan documents; to include entity documentation, compliance documentation, insurance etc.
- Review loan documentation prior to signing for accuracy and compliance with credit approval.
- Coordinates execution of documentation and delivery of documents for boarding.
- Assists with post-closing work including verifying collateral perfection), as necessary.
- Audit new and renewed credit facility covenants and system setup, ensuring that credit approval, loan documents and covenant tracking system align.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in commercial credit underwriting, loan operations and servicing, or related experience
- Knowledge of commercial loan documentation including commercial real estate
- Advanced knowledge of commercial loan concepts and working knowledge of lending principles required
- Advanced knowledge of banking procedures and policies
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, spelling, grammatical and proofreading abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Proficient with keyboarding, alpha and numeric
- Must possess a positive attitude, good judgment, and the ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize tasks consistently throughout each day
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and with people of diverse backgrounds
- Possess strong multitasking capabilities, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and accurately
- Skill in composing and producing professional correspondence
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Able to work overtime when needed and maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise
